Jockey Club HERizon:Women’s Career Empowerment Hub

With the generous support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, we have launched the three-year Jockey Club HERizon: Women’s Career Empowerment Hub. This initiative is dedicated to promoting women's economic empowerment by supporting mid-age grassroot women aged 35 to 55 who have been out of the workforce for an extended period due to caregiving responsibilities or other reasons, helping them reenter the job market and regain control over their lives.

The project focuses on working alongside participants to explore their strengths, past experiences, and career interests. It includes 36 hours of continuous learning and personalised one-on-one employment counselling, aiming to boost participants' confidence in returning to work, enhance interpersonal skills, and strengthen practical workplace competencies—such as computer literacy, job-seeking techniques, industry knowledge, and internship experience. Graduates of the project will also receive a Job Start-up Fund, equipping them with additional resources to better prepare for re-employment.

We firmly believe that reducing the barriers women face when re-entering the workforce will empower them with the confidence and capabilities to embark on a more independent and fulfilling career journey.
