“Treasure Wealth, Treasure Love” Family Financial Education Programme

The “Treasure Wealth, Treasure Love” Family Financial Education Programme, funded by DBS Foundation and co-organised with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), aims to empower underprivileged families in Hong Kong through comprehensive, family-oriented financial education. The programme is designed to improve financial literacy, strengthen communication around financial matters within families, and change the common misconception that “talking about money can harm relationships.”

As one of the community partner of the project, our organization will implement the “Financial Harmony for Newly Arrived Women” program within mainly North District, primarily serving newly arrived women in Hong Kong and their families. Many lack budgeting skills and saving habits, and are unfamiliar with Hong Kong’s situation and cost of living. As men are often the sole earners and women take on caregiving roles, traditional gender norms limit women’s involvement in financial decisions. This program provides talks, group sessions, and individual consultations to improve financial knowledge and encourage better family communication on money matters.
