Annual Activity

Every year, we organize a large-scale annual member event to foster the communication among members of different service centres and keep the linkage between the members and the association. We also encourage members to voice opinions on the development, services and activities of the association so that we can do better.

HKFWC's AGM and Opening of WISE (Women In Self Enhancement, Fanling)

Our 22nd AGM was held on December 13, 2014 at our new centre at Fanling — WISE (Women In Self Enhancement, Fanling). The meeting was convened by our Hon Secretary: Dr Patricia Chiu Pok-kwan. During the meeting, members passed the Chairperson's and Auditor's Reports. Worth mentioning: to better serve women in the Northern District, we have established our third centre, WISE (Women In Self Enhancement, Fanling), with its opening ceremony commemorated on the same day.

 

We were honoured to have in attendance the Assistant District Social Welfare Officer (Tai Po/North)1, Mrs Shek Chan Lai-wah; the Hong Kong Council of Social Service's Chief Executive, Mr Chua Hoi-wai; HKFWC's Honorary President, Dr Betty Chan Bo-king, our Founding President, Professor Fanny Cheung Mui-ching; and our Chairperson, Dr Liliane Chan Chui-king. During the event, our volunteer testified her personal growth as she progresses through our training and began contributing to serve others, confirming the efficacy of our past efforts. Attending this momentous event were also participants from various sectors of the community, sharing our moment of challenge and opportunity.
